Bianca & Nils

Bianca and Nils started dancing when they were kids. They have performed and competed with other partners in their home countries (Italy and Sweden) in different dances like ballet, lindy hop, swing, latin dances, hip hop, ballroom and the Swedish bugg. Both Bianca and Nils got stuck in swing dancing and music, their biggest passion at a very young age. Their paths crossed when Bianca moved to Sweden at the age of sixteen and that’s when they started performing and competing together.

Their teaching career started short after that. Nowadays they travel globally for teaching workshops at festivals, performing and competing. They love to teach what they believe in all around the world. It gives them inspiration, happiness and satisfaction. Bianca and Nils like to bring their love for the dance through energy and enthusiasm on stage

…Bianca and Nils are members of the Swedish national team in Boogie Woogie and Lindy Hop and together they won several Swedish competitions including the Swedish championships. Even abroad they hold titles at the International Lindy Hop Championship (ILHC), Camp Hollywood, European Swing Dance championship, several Boogie Woogie international competitions.

They love swing dancing because it brings people together and spreads joy between them, but also because it has a technical and “nerdy” side. The dance challenges them in keeping practicing, creating and expressing. Bianca and Nils’ goal is to help you become the best dancer you can be if you are a student and to be entertained if you are a spectator at one of their shows.

Charlotte & Joseph

Joseph & Charlotte are currently two of the UK’s leading and busiest swing dance teachers of authentic dances such as the 1940s Lindy Hop, 1920’s Charleston, Black Bottom, Blues and Authentic solo Jazz touring Europe and inspiring people with their fun, high energy classes, wherever they go.

Having learnt from the 1930’s old timers, such as Frankie Manning, Norma Miller, his late uncle, who was a blues dancer and the early teachers who revived the Lindy Hop, they specialise in retaining the authenticity of a by gone era, but with original moves, a modern technical, informative and entertaining twist. You leave their classes feeling excited, like you’ve just seen an action movie.

They’ve taught and perform all over the UK, including numerous theatres, the world famous Royal Albert Hall ( ), FIFA World Cup Launch at the Grand Palais, Paris and European countries such as Germany, France, Sweden, Spain, Greece, Norway, Turkey, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Amsterdam, Israel, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Ireland, Austria, etc.

They run a dance school JiveSwing.Com , which has choreographed and appeared on a number of National TV, Radio and Music Video projects, such as TV Adverts, Channel 4’s Royal Come Dine with Me,  Dancing on Ice, Britain’s Got Talent, and TV Documentaries, including one presented by BBC’s  Strictly Judge, Len Goodman, ‘Yolanda Be Cool’ (The guys that did Americano) music video: , the popular BBC’s Wartime Farm  and BBC2’s Further Back in Time for Dinner -

Most importantly, Joseph’s mum thinks they’re amazing. :-)

Alexey & Helena

Alexey Kazennov is an incredibly talented and inspiring swing dancer hailing from Russia. He started dancing in 2013 with extraordinary enthusiasm, came to every single party and in the same year made finals in a Newcomer J&J. In 2015 he jumped into the Lindy life with both feet and began teaching, practicing and traveling all over the world, and has won a great number of competition titles (Savoy Cup, Harlem, Rock That Swing, ILHC and a long etcetera!).

Lindy hop, Authentic Jazz, Blues, and St. Louis Shag, there is nothing he can’t dance!

Alexey is famous for his personal style as a dancer, his big smiles, and most of all for his high energy on the dance floor! Do you believe that someone can dance for 24 hours non-stop? Yes, this is Alexey!

Helena Bausells Hernanz accidentally discovered Lindy Hop in 2014, while she was studying her Musical Theater degree in Barcelona. She immediately fell in love with it, and attended as many classes as she could (Lindy Hop, Jazz Steps, Tap, Boogie Woogie, Shag, etc). One year later, she started teaching locally and travelling to events, and she hasn’t stopped ever since! She has been to a lot of swing events all over Europe, learning from top teachers as well as social dancing (her favourite part!).

She’s known for her crazy energy and style on the dancefloor and on competitions, where she has accomplished success in multiple occasions (like The Snowball, Savoy Cup and Balkan Lindy Hop Championships, just to name a few). All this travelling has changed and enriched her perception of Swing Dance and Jazz Music, and that’s what she wants to transmit when she teaches. Her classes focus on connecting with the roots of the dance and having fun with your partner.

Alexey and Helena met while traveling to festivals. It was in Herräng when they discovered that they share the same values and ideas about Lindy Hop. Since then, they have been meeting frequently to social dance, train, compete and teach workshops. They also spent a few months teaching regular classes in Istanbul. Together they qualified for Savoy Cup Champions Cup, won some Strictly Competitions (Herräng, Orient Lindy Express, Balkan Lindy Hop Championships), as well as placing and being finalists in many other events (like The Chase or Swim Out Costa Brava).
